On a different show, this episode’s C plot, which involves Bradley Jackon’s brother Hal stomping down to the UBA offices high out of his mind, causes a scene, tells everyone their father killed a kid in a drunk driving accident – while he and Bradley were in the car!! - and then being dragged out by security would be the focus of the hour, here, it’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment surrounded by enough other insanity that you might just forget it happened entirely. Like, literally anything else! The Morning Show Season 2 – Photo Courtesy of Apple TV+ Mostly I just can’t believe we’re spending another week on a Mitch-related subplot when there are so many other things this show could be doing. The problem is - none of us care if Mitch is alive and aren’t exactly what you’d call upset about his death, and the many (many!) scenes featuring various people furiously making phone calls feel pointless since we all already know that he is dead and Alex is fine. On paper, the idea behind “Confirmations” isn’t terrible, showing us the Morning Show staff breathlessly attempting to confirm the truth of Mitch’s death before announcing it on air. Stick leaves with an unknown man and tells him to drive to the Wall as we pan up to a ninja from The Hand watching down at Matt’s place.Despite ostensibly killing off Mitch Kessler at the end of last week’s installment, The Morning ShowSeason 2 Episode 8, “Confirmations,” can’t seem to let him rest in peace, devoting the bulk of yet another hour to this character who really never should have part of this season in the first place. It’s good for Matt because Elektra tells Stick she wants to be with him but he tells her she can’t change who she is and alludes to some secret she’s hiding from him and how she has no idea about what he’s been protecting her from. Foggy storms off and Karen is close behind after she breaks up with him. The big bad Punisher screams he’s guilty and he’ll kill every single one of them as he’s escorted out of the courtroom.įoggy thinks Matt provoked Frank and he’s glad they lost. He says he’s in his right mind and he kills all those people because he loves it and he’s itching to kill again and no one or nothing is going to stop him from killing again. They’re so done.įrank doesn’t want any of it. She storms out after seeing a woman in his bed. Their emotional moment was interrupted when Karen comes to Matt’s place to let him know Foggy needs him to question Frank. Elektra sees the light inside him and says she’s lucky she didn’t snuff out that light in college. Matt wants Elektra to leave Stick and fight along his side, his way. She tells him The Hand won’t stop until they kill every last member of The Chaste, including Stick and Elektra. Episode Recaps and ReactionsĮlektra was used to distract Matt when they first met to bring him back to Stick but she fell in love with him. She doesn’t think he’s a monster and convinces him it’ll let him know who he truly is and if he’s mentally healthy.įoggy doesn’t want to do the questioning and needs Matt’s help to do the questioning. Karen wants Frank to take the stand and thinks it could reduce the charges if he tells his side of the story. Lee believes Frank is suffering from extreme emotional disturbances stemming from the bullet wound to his brain.
